EUROCRAFT - Vehicle lifting bags

Accidents happen to vehicles all over the world and the methods used to recover them vary widely. Probably the safest method of recovering overturned trailers and tankers with the least damage is to use air cushions. Simple to use but powerful at work, they can recover loads of up to 200,000lbs (90 tonnes).

Eurocraft lifting bags are made from heavy-duty Hypalon polymer coated fabric, which means they are hard wearing, reliable and long lasting, and should the need arise, can be easily repaired.

A Vehicle Recovery Set comprises the following:

• 4 to 6 - 90" (2.3m) high side, 72" (1.8m) low side, square slope top and bottom cushions with non-slip lifting surfaces. Operating at 9psi giving a lift and roll capacity of 27,000lbs (12 tonnes) each.
• 2 to 3 - 36" (0.9m) square starter cushions with smooth top and bottom for easy placement.
• 1 - High volume, low psi air compressor for inflating/deflating.
• 1 - Valve block with 6 or 8 ports and overload valves.
• 8 to 10 - 20' (6m) hoses.
• 1 - Repair kit for on-site maintenance.

Special lifting bags are manufactured to suit various different requirements including lifting heavy plant, moving loads inside containers or ships, lifting heavy trees, timber or pylons, rescue and recovery of trapped persons and animals, raising collapsed scaffolding, sub-sea salvage and underwater pipeline positioning (when filled with water).
